Nicholas Scapillati is a conservationist and the Executive Director of the Grizzly Bear Foundation. For over 25 years he has worked through science and traditional ecological knowledge as a park ranger, with the David Suzuki Foundation, in Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest, and closely with the Musqueam Nation. Passionate about biodiversity conservation, habitat restoration, food sustainability and climate action, Nicholas has lead programs and organizations at the national, provincial and community level. He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia with his wife Kas and their dog Sitka.
LINDSAY MARIE STEWART

Lindsay Marie Stewart is an award-winning filmmaker, creative director, multimedia producer, content and communication strategist. As a National Geographic Explorer engaged in people and their relationship to the natural world, Lindsay produces progressive and powerful brand-driven storytelling. Armed with two degrees in communications and a background in photojournalism and technical writing, Lindsay's creative work has been globally recognized as authentic narrative with heart, hope and a shared vision that moves people to action.

Leia's career in documentary storytelling is multifaceted. She’s worked as a Director, DP, Story Editor & Story Producer on award-winning TV series such as Knowledge Network's "Paramedics: Life on the Line" and Discovery Channel's "Highway Thru Hell". Over the years, Leia has dipped her toes in the world of audio and now she’s adding podcasts to her skillset. No matter the platform, Leia is a natural storyteller; always able to unearth the 'gems' to get to the heart of a story.
KAS SHIELD
PRODUCTION COORDINATOR
Kas Shield has worked as an interior designer in Vancouver for over 15 years, with a focus on sustainable and green design. She is a life long activist and has volunteered for environmental organizations throughout her life. Kas studies Environmental Science at Capilano University and has a passion for nature and local food. She lives in Vancouver with her husband Nicholas and their dog Sitka.

COMPOSER
Allen O’Sanlou has worked in the Vancouver animation industry for over twenty years on feature films, video games and television shows. While working as an animator, Allen produced electronic music as a side hobby and eventually released a number of singles and albums over the years. His music can be described as deep, melodic, uplifting and introspective dance grooves. Growing up in B.C. has given Allen a great appreciation for our nature and wildlife. Preserving our ecosystems and the animals within them is of great importance as well as deeply inspiring in the creation of the music for this podcast.
Taylor Green
OUTREACH & COMMUNICATIONS
Taylor is a grizzly bear advocate from Vancouver and the Education and Social Media Coordinator for the Grizzly Bear Foundation. She studied Environmental Science at McGill University with a specialization in Biodiversity and Conservation, and has worked as an environmental educator, naturalist, and wildlife guide. With years of experience in bear-viewing, she has developed an intimate knowledge and admiration for grizzly bears as well a passion for wildlife photography.
